April 16th, 2019 - Miami(Fla.) - Over the weekend Palm Beach Spartans FC (4-0-1) faced Hurricane FC (2-0-1) and made a miraculous comeback after being down two goals to win 3-2 .
"This game was emblematic of what it means to be a Soldier in the Palm Beach Spartans Army. The players never give up, they "Never Surrender" like it says on our chest. Their shear will and determination to succeed at all cost in spite of all the cards in the deck stacked against them, should inspire us all as it is indicative of the reality they live in each day" - Cheddi Johnson, Palm Beach Spartans Head Coach.
Palm Beach Spartans started their impressive comeback in the 80th minute scoring all 3 goals within a 7 minute span, highlighted by a Casimir Raoul brace.
Hurricane FC came out the gate firing scoring their first off a loose ball which fell perfectly to Taylor Brummit which he slotted into the bottom corner. Brummit would make another appearance on the scoresheet in the 63rd minute off a cross from the left wing which was headed into the back of the net.
Spartans persevered and in the 80th minute, a low cross that managed to get past the goalkeeper was steered home by Casimir Raoul. Just five minutes later, a defensive mishap saw Casimir Raoul dribble around the last defender and past the goalkeeper to level the game at two. Ronaldo Volataire stepped up when it mattered and slipped past the defence just two minutes later to score a one on one opportunity with the goalkeeper to win the game for Spartans.
